Can I elope this weekend?
No, it is still necessary to complete the mandatory Notice of Intended Marriage according to the Marriage Act 1961 which requires a minimum of 1 month notice.
Is an Elopement Ceremony legal?
Absolutely, your legal commitment is exactly the same whether you say “I DO” in front of your 2 witnesses in your loungeroom or 150 guests with all the bells and whistles at an expensive wedding venue.
Where can I have an elopement ceremony?
Wherever you like. You can choose your favourite location, beach, park, restaurant, your home or our office. The choice is yours.
How much does an elopement ceremony cost?
You can have a simple ceremony only for less than $500 or you can add in optional extras like hair, make-up, flowers, accommodation (and so much more) to make up a full package to suit your budget and ceremony dreams.
